The 15th iteration of FNB Art Joburg saw some 11000 visitors pass through the doors of the Sandton Convention Centre to enjoy the three-day event with iTOO Artinsure again making its contribution as sponsor of the Talks and Tours programme.
A diverse line-up of speakers, topics and tour guides offered visitors an insight into different aspects of the art world. Gail Bosch, Product Champion of iTOO Artinsure participated in the panel discussion on ‘Best practice and the business of art’ with Lazarus Serobe of DALRO and Nomalanga Nkosi of VANSA.
iTOO Artinsure also hosted the SEED II auction preview at Villa Arcadia on the Hollard campus. Founded by architect and art patron, Pierre Lombart, SAFFCA, the Southern African Foundation for Contemporary Art, aims to support, nurture and promote artists from southern Africa through a series of residencies, exhibitions and auctions in South Africa and Europe. On this occasion 60 Artworks by 60 artists were selected for the auction display at Villa Arcadia. Various percentages of the sales income generated were distributed to support the artists and other key non-profit art organisations.
